Summary:

You will be responsible for the implementation of our payment and e-commerce applications. You will ensure usability, stability, and scalability of the systems.

RESPONSIBILITY

• Lead the Core Tech team of at least 4 members (including 2 DevOps engineers and 2 Backend/Fullstack engineers) to develop high-scale / high-load / distributed solutions for an e-commerce website and support the overall DevOps tasks for all projects

• Oversee the integration of systems and manage subsystems

• Gather and analyze requirements, provide estimates, then carry out system design and development (including unit test)

• Lead the team to fix bugs and resolve production issues in a timely manner

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve performance, stability, and scalability

• Apply and coach the team about best practices and software development principles and then monitor and do code review to make sure the standards are followed

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent

• 3+ years leading complex development efforts, preferably related to payment or e-commerce

• Be able to provide good estimates, be able to break down tasks to assign to team members and responsible for the final output

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with PHP and Woocommerce

• Experience in Rest API, OpenAPI-Specification 3, Swagger

• Experience tuning and scaling high-volume transactional use cases

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Docker, CI/CD, Jenkins/TeamCity, tuning performance on AWS

• Hands on experience with Databases: MySQL/MariaDB

• Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix OS and development tools

• Good analytics skills and good troubleshooting skills

Nice to have:

• Experience in backend development with Python using Django

• Experience as a full-stack developer

• Experience in native game development

Other skills:

• Working language: English - can communicate confidently with stakeholders/clients

• Pro-active and willing to learn and adapt new technologies

• Comfortable working in an intense and high-growth startup environment

• Ability to follow instructions and work independent as well as being a team player

Authority Reporting

Technical Lead is reporting directly to the Head of Development.
