LG Electronics Vehicle Component Company focuses on eco-friendly automotive components. The VC Company produces high-quality in-car infotainment systems that deliver both information and entertainment on-the-go for many of the world‘s biggest automobile brands.

We, LG Electronics Vehicle Component Solutions Development Center Vietnam (VS DCV), conduct core R&D activities, and various product reliability tests in support of our vehicle component business.

As the Software Development Department Leader of LG VS DCV Da Nang , your roles & responsibilities will be as below:

  1. Project management and technical support:

• Advising Program Manager/ Center Leader and relevant Managers in technical aspects/solutions implemented in the Business Unit;

• Working with Team Leader to be aware of status of all projects on technical side, and to give necessary instructions or support to prevent problems or find out solutions, ensuring that programmers work efficiently and deliver their assignments on-time;

• Overseeing and having good expertise of all productions in the Business Unit from technical viewpoint; defining, advising technical process, standards, methods, organization… to constantly improve productivity, reduce overtime and optimize work;

• Selecting, finding and managing a group of specialist/senior programmers to support/handle most technical issues in production. Keep training them to master their working abilities;

• Encouraging team to create a strong technical documents on different development platforms.

  1. Resource management:

• Continuously analyzing and following up resource status in each team and project in order to advise and define relevant development strategies, and to make best use of available resource;

• Based on that analysis, allocating resource for teams and projects, considering resource availability, capabilities, and production priorities;

• Weekly updating the resource planning and status, and reporting to Program Manager/ Center Leader;

• Forecasting the resource need, collaborating with HR department in recruiting and selecting best qualified engineers;

• Ensuring a good and smooth communication / coordination / cooperation with Studio Manager in order to manage resources movement in between divisions in case that this is needed;

• Evaluation and competence management;

• Defining skill set in each division, and working with Team Leaders to have accurate assessment of the programmers’ competencies; keeping accurate record and follow up of programmers’ work level, promotion/re-allocation plan; Defining and improving programmers’ evaluation process;

• Working with Team Leaders to control programmers’ evaluation, ensuring fairness and objectivity;

• Conducting or joining in the evaluation of Team Leaders on top of each divisions or teams;

• Organizing programmers’ quarterly or project evaluations, as well as major evaluations at the end of the year;

• Actively joining in talent retention and development; identifying key programmers to structure the teams;

• Controlling training activities and process provided by trainers; pushing and supervising the implementation of activities and measures to improve programmers’ competencies and working methods.

  1. General management:

• Supervising activities of the whole programmer team under your responsibility scope, using and creating tools to follow up and make sure that all teams are well organized and managed, in accordance with studio regulations and working rules;

• Keeping and updating programmers’ organization chart (of the BU);

• In coordination with HR department, Program Manager/ Center Leader, managing programmers’ compensations and benefits (salary offer, salary review), employment relation, leave, discipline…;

• Implementing actions to enhance programmers’ motivation, team spirit and commitment to the company;

• Maintaining good relationship between programmers and all other departments and studios to ensure smooth coordination and cooperation.

• RELOCATION PACKAGE UP-TO 20,000,000 VND for candidates from HN, HCMC with above 1-year working experience who willing to relocate to DN;

Yêu cầu

• Education: Bachelor/ Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information System or equivalent;

• At least 8 years working experience as Project Leader/Manager with team/department size of at least 50 members. Having experience in automotive domain or embedded platform (based on Linux, QnX, and Android) is an advantage.

• Good knowledge of software project management processes, methodologies, and tools;

• Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities;

• Evaluate the progress of a project to detect limitations or faults in order to seek solutions to a more efficient process;

• Strong leadership, communication, risk management and problem-solving skills;

• Flexibility to adapt to change and ability to work under high pressure;

• Analytical and synthesis skills;

• Strong human resources management;

• Communication skills: Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors; Ability to mediate disagreements competently and negotiate a win-win resolution for all parties;

• Excellent in multi-tasking abilities couple with the capacity to work under pressure;

• Language skills: Fluent Bi-Lingual is must: English & Vietnamese.
