An exciting opportunity currently exists to work with our client’s awesome team in the Gold Coast – Australia for a talented iOS Developer; a chance for you to apply your technical knowledge to real-world business challenges. You will be located in HCM City working with the team in the Gold Coast. You will enjoy occasional travel to the Gold Coast for training and team building events.

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a desire to not only implement new features and improvements to the existing software, but to work with the support and operations team on understanding customer roadblocks and requirements to ensure they become successful users of the system. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining, improving and expanding our existing native iOS app (and assist with Android development)

• Designing, architecting and implementing exciting new features as part of the mobile team

• Working with the wider development team (PHP, Java, React) to produce great new features, enhance APIs and ensure alignment between the web and mobile applications

• Liaising with our operations and support team to identify client requirements and assisting with trouble-shooting

• Developing and improving public documentation of the mobile app functionality and features, as well as internal documentation around processes and applied technology

• Taking part in daily standups and regular team-wide meetings to discuss current and upcoming tasks

• Reporting to the team and stakeholders on progress, timelines and road blocks

Yêu cầu

You must have excellence oral English language skill along with:

• Several years of professional iOS development experience in Objective-C and Swift. While we are excited to be moving to Swift in the near future, the majority of the native iOS app is written in Objective-C. Therefore we need someone in this role who is happy to spend time in legacy code, while developing new features in Swift

• Ideally some Android experience, or willingness to up-skill in this area

• Skills in UI/UX and software design

• Desire and ability to learn

• Self-motivation with an agile mindset (Jira, Sprints, Scrums)

• A love for challenging tasks and working out solutions to tricky problems (with the help of the rest of the team)

You are a creative thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You also possess the ability to work independently under minimal supervision effectively. You will need to take ownership, accountability and initiative to be successful in the role.
