The Chief Technical Officer at INSTANA is expected to perform duties and responsibilities relating Digital solutions and IT projects management. With the support of Product Manager, he/she will manage digital solution projects at INSTANA and supervise IT outsourcing companies to ensure the quality of the products. He/She is also in charge of providing advice on applying new technologies into the current and future products and renovating INSTANA's IT platforms/tools.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Managing digital solution projects
Gather requirements and write software specification document of each project
Create, managing, and tracking projects with detailed project plans
Effectively document, communicate, and report on defined deliverables as well as resource requirements, work plans, and barriers to success
Manage project activities for multiple projects across all project phases, including initiation, planning, user experience, design, development, QA, launch, and ongoing maintenance
Supervise and work closely with outsourced vendors to ensure the quality and milestones
Collaborate with Graphic Design team for designing products’ UI
Perform Quality Assurance testing of software and tracking defects if required
Communicate proactively with all involved stakeholders and escalate to POM and Manage director as appropriate to identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
Work collaboratively across IT and business functions as needed to successfully deliver projects and programs
Develop software training materials if required
Conduct regular productive project meetings and report weekly to Product Manager
Identify and evaluate the capacity of potential outsourced companies to perform the work as required by INSTANA
2. Stay updated about new software technologies
Aware of new digital technologies and solutions and advise on application to companies’ existing and future products
3. Renovate the company’s IT platforms/tools (website, LMS, etc.)
Analyze the company’s IT platforms/tools such as the website, Learning Management system (LMS), etc. to propose solutions and plans to modernize and renovate for a more efficient, attractive, and user-friendly version
B.S. or B.A. degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
Language: Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills in both Vietnamese and English
Required skills and experience:
Great understanding of full Software Development Life Cycle
Proficient in modern programming languages, use of APIs, and tools
Experience in WordPress, Moodle platform, etc.
Experience in Java Frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, ...
Experience in Oracle, MySQL database ...
Experience in RESTful, RxJava, RxAndroid, ...
Knowledge of front-end development: HTML, CSS, ...
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Amazon…
Good projects management skills, able to work under high pressure and “can do”, teamwork attitude & willing to learn new things
